Travelling backwards in time at this school

HOUR hands whirled and digital clocks went haywire in a lower school.

And the cause of this mayhem? – the children had discovered the secret of creating time machines.

The pupils at Robert Peel Lower School in Sandy had a time travel themed book fair and they dived into the time space continuum at the same time.

Headteacher, Dave Saunders, said: “To stir up interest we said we would have a competition for them to make their own time machines at home and bring them in.

“We said we would have a judgement but so many came in of such good quality that in the end we went and got everyone a prize and a certificate. We did have a first, second and third place.

“They ranged from big boxes to small intricate ones with just as much work and thought.

“What really pleased us was the enthusiasm and the ideas.”
