Vigil for the war
Embrace the darkness in commemoration of the First World War.
People across the UK will turn off their lights from 10pm to 11pm on Monday, August 4 to mark the time that Great Britain entered the war.
Centenary candles, organised by the Royal British Legion, are available in M&S.
Sandy RBL is planning a commemorative vigil at the Bedford Road war memorial during the hour. Nearby street lights will be turned off.
