Vulcan stars at Shuttleworth

Crowds gathered to see the aircraft on its last trip at the Military Pageant with First World War Commemoration Airshow at the Old Warden site.

To celebrate the aircraft in her final flying year, the aircrew, led by Martin Withers ,launched a dramatic new display routine.

Each year, the charity which owns and operates her, the Vulcan to the Sky Trust (VTST) raises more than £2million to service and operate the aircraft.

The Charity’s Chief Executive, Dr Robert Pleming, said: “We flew items in the aircraft so that as many of her supporters could purchase something from the adventure.”
