Where do you think houses should go?

Central Beds Council is asking for help to find space for more homes.

It is calling on residents, landowners and developers to suggest potential sites, whichwill be used by the council to prepare its Allocations Local Plan. This will identify specific sites for at least 2,000 new homes to help meet housing needs up to 2031.

For a site to be considered it must be capable of accommodating between 15 and 500 houses.

The council would also like to hear suggestions for sites for alternative use, especially accommodation for older people.

As part of the Allocations Local Plan, the council is also seeking to make and review specific planning designations, such as settlement boundaries, and important open spaces.

Cllr Nigel Young said: “We will carefully consider all suggestions and use them to help us meet future housing needs.”
