Almost 200 brownies along with more than 70 guiders, young leaders, rangers, unit helpers and parents took part in the activity day, which was arranged as part of the centenary celebrations for brownies in the area.

Activities at the event at Boyd Field in Henlow included archery, raft building, climbing, crafts, a treasure hunt and of course the chance to try outdoors cooking.

Ten year old Emma, one of the brownies that enjoyed the day, said : “The adventurous activities were the best, I had so much fun.”

Next month will see a Biggleswade District Sleepover event.
