Two young girls wanted to contribute to the Macmillan coffee campaign and sold cakes to raise funds.

Rosie and Isla Mapletoft, aged six and four, both pupils at Laburnum Lower School in Sandy, wanted to be part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. They made the cakes themselves and sold them on a stall near their home, raising £206 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Proud mum Kylie said: “I would like to be able to say thank you to all of the people that supported my girls at their cake and lemonade stand for Macmillan on Saturday, September 26.

“I am so proud of my girls for wanting to be a part of the massive fundraising efforts across the country. The girls baked cakes and sold them along with other donated cakes to lots of friends and family. The sun was shining and lots of people came along. A big thank you from us all, we couldn’t have done it without the fabulous community support.”
