A group of young people in Gamlingay have spent a day redesigning and rebuilding an off-road bike track on Gamlingay playing fields.

They were able to carry out the work thanks to G and S Hutchinson’s of Potton who lent them a digger and to Dino Lowe who kindly drove it.

Jackie McGeady, chair of Gamlingay Parish Council said: “The original bike track was created by young people more than 10 years ago and though it is well used it had got rather overgrown so we are delighted that it has been given a new lease of life.”

Rob Hutchinson, director of G and S Hutchinson’s, said: “We have a long standing relationship with Gamlingay Parish Council due to our work building the Eco Hub so we are always pleased to help out whenever we can with community projects like this.”
