Youngest ringmaster takes to the big top in circus show

THE circus is coming to town – and with them will be the UK’s youngest ringmaster.

Eight-year-old Edward Pinder stepped into the role at Pinder’s Circus when the official ringmaster, Mike Lea, temporarily lost his voice.

Edward’s parents are the circus’ clowns so he knew all of the words and as the show had to go on he took the microphone.

He made such a good of it that he now has his own ringmaster’s outfit and is allowed to act the part once his schoolwork is complete.

A spokesman from the circus said: “Edward is a cute looking circus boy and all the mums and children like him.”

The show will also include juggling, plate spinning and sword and dagger balancing.

There will be illusions, a comedy car and a slapstick clowns’ painters and decorators sketch.
