Dickson-Earle faces an anxious wait to find out about Engand selection

The 16-year-old took part at the England Athletics Senior/U20 Combined Events Championships at Bedford on Saturday, the final chance for him to reach the qualifying time for selection.

He started with 13.86secs in the heat, which was just outside qualifying time, before clocking 13.65secs, which was inside the limit in the final.

However, the wind was 0.3secs over the legal limit and therefore he now has to wait to find out whether the selectors decide to choose him for the England team.

Meanwhile, Biggleswade AC produced some outstanding performance at the Bedfordshire Amateur Athletics Association County Championships at Luton last month.
