It’s followed by an all-Bedfordshire clash at home to Leighton Town on Tuesday.

In their final pre-season friendly on Saturday they went down 5-2 at Dunstable Town.

The hosts took the lead with a glorious finish from David Keeneyside. But Arlesey were level with a spectacular strike of their own, Vassey netting from range.

Dunstable’s second did arrive midway through the half though when Lorenzo Ferrari showed dogged persistence to set up Nolan who netted with a free header.

Dunstable’s dominance was underlined just before the half hour mark, when Nolan scored his second.

Nolan and Plowright could have made it five before half time.

In the second period, Dunstable made it 4-1 as Blackett converted Keeneyside’s corner, while Arlesey pulled one back as Jordan Appleton netted, before Town completed the rout late on.
