The Blues, bouyed by their dramatic comeback against Aylesbury United, followed it up with a 3-0 victory made all the more sweet as other sides around them at the foot of the Southern Legue Division One Central lost.

Arlesey looked positive from the start and after just six minutes Taylor Rhiney was put through by a good ball and he rode a desperate tackle from the keeper before shooting home the opener.

Arlesey kept up the pressure and from a well won corner Jack Vasey headed well past the centre half and keeper midway through the half.

The second period was the same with Arlesey restricting the home side to free kicks as their main attempts at goal.

The Blues maintained their discipline and absorbed everything the home side had. They got their reward as, from a Northwood corner, the ball was cleared and picked up by the lone Josh Coley on the halfway line, he attacked, rode a desperate tackle and shot past the keeper to make it 3-0.

Arlesey saw the game out although Northwood did hit the post injury time.

The Blues host Farnborough on Saturday.
