Arlesey’s Southern League Premier Division future is hanging by a thread after a lacklustre performance only earned a draw on Saturday.

Victory on Easter Monday at neighbours Biggleswade Town had given the Blues fresh hope that they could avoid the drop.

But Saturday’s goalless stalemate at home to Paulton Rovers just wasn’t enough and the display did little to suggest Arlesey could pull themselves out of the mire in the final two games.

They go to Truro City on Saturday, April 18 knowing only a win will do.
