Biggleswade travelled to Radlett on a run of seven consecutive wins looking to go top of the league.

Simon Gray at string five retained his unbeaten record for the season winning 3-0 against Ian Taylor (15-10, 15-13, 15-10).

Marcus Gray, making a rare appearance for the Herts league team at number four, was beaten comfortably 15-6 in the first game by Dave Rawlings but then rediscovered his recent good form.

Unfortunately it wasn’t enough with Marcus narrowly losing both the next two games 15-13.

Dan Easton at string three had another tough match going to five games against Gavin Green.

Having lost the first two games 15-7 and 15-10 Dan dug deep to take the next three 15-10, 15-8, 15-12 to secure his seventh Herts win of the season.

Owen Ledger at number two played well but lost in straight games to Wayne Davidson 15-12, 15-12, 15-11.

In a similar vein twin brother Jay Ledger at string one lost in straight games to Duleep Adihetty 15-12, 15-13, 15-10 to give Radlett a 3-2 victory and retain top spot in the league.

Overall result: Biggleswade 2 (6) Radlett 1 3 (16).

The result dropped Biggleswade out of the promotion places but next week with a visit to Haileybury 1, currently second, a win will see Biggleswade back in the promotion places with four games in the season remaining.
