The first half saw Biggleswade create numerous chances as they pinned their opponents in their own half. Tom Cookman saw an effort smothered by the Saints keeper and minutes later Ryan Vale saw his 30 yarder come back off the underside of the bar.

With Lee Northfield, who almost scored with an outrageous effort, George Bailey and Ryan Inskip causing problems it was Bailey who put Biggleswade in front from the edge of the box.

Tom Cookman quickly added a second as he finished from close range, Tom coming close to getting his second minutes later.

With changes made at half time the Saints had their best spell in the opening ten minutes, their pressure resulting in a penalty as they reduced the arrears.

The introduction of Nathan Lee-George alongside Zac Tyrrell seemed to settle things down as Biggleswade regained control.

Tom Hunt and Liam Beech began to control the middle of the park and it was Biggleswade who added a third as Aaron Rymer was put away by Matthew Moore, his shot being partially saved before Matt finished the rebound.

With three minutes remaining the Saints had the chance to reduce the arrears from another penalty but this one was blasted over the bar.
