The evening at George’s Hall Bar and Grill in Biggleswade was a chance for players, officials and supporters to gather for the annual honours.
And there was a sprinkling of celebrities in attendance. United’s Director of Football Guillem Balague, the renowned journalist, was joined by Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and Sky Sports News HQ presenter Kate Abdo.
The club finished 10th in the SSML Premier Division after an impressive second half to the campaign.
First team Player of the Year went to Nyasha Sagwete who also scooped the Supperters’ Player award. Nick Elliott was first team Players’ Player with Kane Farrell named Young Player and Alex McFarlane the Under 23s Player.
Charlie Joy’s strike against Hadley was voted Goal of the Season while Tom Boyd was Sportsman of the Year.
The evening also saw Nordeus, the game developer behind Top Eleven, confirm it has renewed its landmark sponsorship of Biggleswade United FC for a second consecutive year.
The agreement will see Top Eleven, one of the most played online sports game ever made, continue to have pride of place on Biggleswade United shirts for the upcoming 2016/17 season.
