In the Britannia Cup first round, current holders AFC Oakley Sports M&DH saw their defence of the famous old trophy ended at the first hurdle with a 2-1 defeat at Marston Shelton Rovers.

With Wilstead’s Jubilee Playing Fields ground unplayable they agreed to face Caldecote on their own Harvey Close patch, a decision which was to be rewarded with a 2-1 victory.

Stuart Robson headed them in front early on before Ryan Kelly doubled the scoreline nine minutes from time only to see Jack Boyd net a late consolation for Caldecote.

Shefford Town & Campton ran out 4-1 winners at Pavenham. Michael Jones the soul destroyer with all four goals including one from the penalty spot with James Owen replying.

In the Centenary Cup first round, Woburn Lions concede home advantage and faced Henlow on their own Groveside patch, losing 4-1.

James Cambell netted twice alongside Russell Ayles and Matt Wilson for the hosts against a lone Lions reply from Daniel McLaren.

For Sundon Park Rangers, it was a 2-1 home victory over Marabese Ceramics. Matt Conway and Bryan Frasier on their scoresheet against a Tilermen reply from John Voought.

The surprise result of the day saw Shefford Town & Campton Reserves beat Elstow Abbey 2-1 at home.

Ryan Dodson and Marc Gauntlett netted for Town, with Ed L’Erario replying for Abbey, who also had Franck Tanoh sent off.

In the Jubilee Cup first round, thejoint biggest winners of the day were Queens Park Crescents with a 5-1 home victory over Kings AFC. Fabio Sattar, Shazed Sattar, Shahinur Rahman, Ayaz Hussian and Mohammed Zahar all foundthe back of the net.

Potton United Reservesenjoyed a 5-1 home win over Co-op Sports. Josh Everitt-Watson netting twice alongside Billy Albone, Steve Gibbons and Kane Dempsey.

For AFC Oakley Sports M&DH Reserves it was a 4-1 home win over Renhold United Reserves. Alex Liburd (3) and Jimmy Grandidge scored against a lone United reply from Alex Woolston.

Also enjoying life on home soil were Cranfield United with a 1-0 win over AFC Harlington.

The lone away winners were Clifton who needed extra time to win 2-1 at AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College Reserves. Paul Garrett for The Town and Tony Norman for the visitors scoring in the first 90 minutes before Norman struck again for Clifton in extra time.

Riseley Sports remain firmly fixed to the bottom of the Division Two table after going down to their sixth consecutive away defeat 3-0 at Great Barford for whom Ruben Hukin netted twice and Gary Canxano once.

The Watson Shield second round saw Division Four Moggerhanger United produce the giantkilling act of the day with a 3-2 home win over Division Three club Kempston Con Club Sports. Paul Beith, Luke Rudd and Brandon Bates on their scoresheet against replies via Vincent Clark and Tom Wheelhouse.

Top scorers of the day were Clapham Sports in winning 10-1 at Caldecote A, with Liam Bolton grabbing a treble.

Wilstead Reserves won 6-4 at Dinamo Flitwick. Matt Johnson and Luke Prietzel both netting twice to go alongside single strikes from Hanni Thirra and Ryan Davenport.

Elsewhere, Bedford Panthers were 4-1 home winners over Mid Beds Tigers, while Meltis Albion netted a 4-3 home win over Marston Shelton Rovers Reserves.

In Division Three, Elstow Abbey Reserves climbed o third with a 4-3 home win over AFC Bush. Aiden Powell with a brace plus Lee Rosborough and Chris Allen netting.

Division Four saw Flitwick Town Reserves off the bottom by beating Meltis Albion Reserves 2-1, Mark Bartlett and Ben Ward scoring.
