It was a hard-earned victory after they should have been much further in front at half time against a good Kensington side.

The Reds created a number of chances in the opening minutes; Pat Daly burst through, but shot wide, then he flashed a header just wide.

However, the visitors took the lead on 24 minutes when El Bakkali latched on to a great through ball and chipped Gudgin in the Langford goal.

Reds stepped up a gear and within three minutes, they were level. A corner was only half cleared and Jason Penman crossed for Ingham to head home. Langford took command and the lead on 38 minutes as Pat Daly was bought down in the box. Up stepped Michael Moss who yet again rifled in the spot kick.

Four minutes later it was 3-1, another cross caused the visitors problems and Moss unmarked on the far post finished with ease.

Kensington started the second half with renewed belief, and were rewarded with a fine goal when Didi Marques curled home a lovely shot from distance.

Within two minutes the visitors’ keeper made a bad mistake when he completely missed the ball when trying to clear a back pass, and sub Adam Perry rolled the ball into the empty net.

Just as Langford looked comfortable Didi Marques scored his second and Kensington’s third to set up a tense finish. P

erry could have sealed it when he hit the post in the dying moments, however Langford held on without further alarms to cement their positon in the top four.
