The match kicked off in blustery conditions, on a well grassed uneven surface. From the kick off Wodson pushed forward Babbage having an early header saved by Bodger in the Langford goal.

Langford were slow to get going and after nine minutes Wodson took the lead, a cross from the left being headed in by Towers low past Bodger’s near post 1-0. This woke the Reds up and they began to put some passes together. On 12 minutes after good passing and movement the ball fell at the feet of Dogbe, who threaded it forward to Waite, who continued his scoring exploits with a shot past the static keeper 1-1.

End to end football followed, both teams looking good going forward, but neither posing any real threat, the closed chance falling to Wodson when Green shot wide.

The second half started much the same as the previous period, with Langford not playing well. Wodson capitalised on the in the 48th minute when Green burst through to shoot Wodson ahead 2-1.

Things got worse for Langford in the 63rd minute when Bodger could only parry a low shot into the path of Green, who tapped into an open goal to make it 3-1. Langford brought Butler on from the bench, this livened them up. A Ryan Nicholl free kick was headed against a defender by Dogbe and went narrowly wide. On 72 minutes a shot by Murray was parried by Musgrove in the WQodson goal, butler headed in 3-2.

The rest of the game was scrappy, with Langford struggling and failing to get on equal terms.
