The Reds forced an early corner, which was headed over by Tyler Ingham.

Then Watts tried a long range shot which struck the frame of the Langford goal.

Despite the bobbly surface both teams tried to play a passing game, creating chances but neither able to take one.

As the half went on Langford came more into it, playing the ball around well and threatening. James Potter shot narrowly wide following a five man move, Pat Daly saw his shot on the turn scrape past the outside of a post, the same player also had a fierce shot deflected wide. Just before the break, Jason Penman headed over with the goal beckoning.

The second half started as the first had finished, with Langford having most of the possession and trying the pass through the opposition, and Buckingham restricted to breakaway chances.

In the 51st minute Josh Hooper saw red, and the hosts were down to 10 men.

Despite their man advantage, Langford could not score, and with Buckingham relying on even fewer breakaways, it ended goalless.

Langford’s next match is away to Southall on Saturday.
