Arlesey Town took a 6-2 pounding at Paulton Rovers in the Southern League Premier on Saturday.

Ahead via Jefferies inside two minutes, a first half hat-trick from Scott Wilson saw Paulton 4-0 up at the interval.

A further goal from Wilson and one from Dean Evans saw Paulton six goals up with half an hour still to play. But the managerless Blues were to prevent any further strikes and late goals from James Hatch and Steffen Bailey added a crumb of respectability to the scoreline.

Arlesey are back in league action at home to Truro City on Saturday, December 13.
