Potton United have earned awards from the Chromasport & Trophies UCL.

Potton’s Ian Williscroft was crowned groundsman of the year. This recognises the extremely hard work that Ian, together with chairman Alan Riley, has put in to make it the best surface in the league.

Ian lives some distance from Potton but comes over every week to look after the pitch. He has started work for next season by verti-draining, fertilising and seeding.

The club also received top marks from both visiting clubs and match officials for hospitality at home matches. For this the club receives two awards as well as a cheque for £100 for winning the overall hospitality award.

The club acknowledges the efforts of Pauline Westhorp, Bev Strong and Sue Buxton together with all committee members for winning this award.
