Saturday football: United win but Arlesey and Waders lose

A double strike from skipper Sean Murray saw Biggleswade United pick up three valuable points in a 2-0 win against Harefield United on Saturday afternoon in front of just 41 spectators at Second Meadow.

The United captain latched onto a long ball from teammate Ibby Fuseini following an 11th minute Harefield corner before racing in to slot his shot past advancing Hares keeper Ben Goode.

And his second came four minutes from time when he side-footed home a Ryan Nicholl corner kick from the edge of Harfield’s six yard box.
