Super Reds in seventh heaven while Waders bag four

Top scorers on Saturday were Langford whose second half performance against SSML Division One rivals Kentish Town was one of the highest order.

The two sides were level at the break after Dean Sylvester had scored the north Londoners’ opener in the 29th minute while a Paul Garrett free kick was brilliantly headed in by man of the match Kim Forsythe two minutes later.

The second half was almost one-way traffic as the Reds turned on the style with Forsythe getting two more for his hat-trick, Garrett netting a deserved header while Ashley Fitton bagged two belters from outside the area for 6-1.

Then with six minutes left a free kick came back off the Kentish Town upright and the unmarked Ryan Ellis swept home the rebound for a final 7-1 scoreline.

In the SSML Premier Division, Stotfold earned a point from third trip to Bell Close to play Aylesbury United where Tom Peverall’s strike allowed them to leave with a points from a 1-1 draw.

And at Oxhey Jets, Biggleswade Unted made it back to back weekend wins thanks to a Chris Butler double as they triumphed 2-1 following the previous Saturday’s 2-0 hoe win against Harefield.

Three second half goals ensured that Biggleswade Town put the previous weekend’s 3-0 league defeat at Northwood firmly behind them as they flatteringly beat a good Aylesbury side 4-1 at the Carlsberg Stadium.

Mitchell Cole bagged the first after 37 minutes while Brett Donnelly’s 64th minute strike settled the nerves. However Rudd pulled one back for the visitors before substitute Tom McGowan made it 3-1 in the 84th minute and Craig Daniel rifled in a 25 yard screamer in time added for 4-1.

And finally to The Hollow where Potton United also enjoyed back to back UCL Division One wins thanks to an 81st minute Dean Hamilton glancing header and a Joe Aris volley seven minutes from time after visitors Northampton Sileby Rangers had taken a first half lead courtesy of Dan Brown.
