Two goals from Louis Taylor steered improving Stotfold to a 2-1 SSML Premier victory over Colney Heath on Saturday.
It extended Stotfold’s unbeaten run in league and cup to six games, their last defeat ironically coming at Colney early last month.
Edward Gray gave the visitors the lead at Roker Park after 14 minutes but a quickfire double from Taylor early in the second half put Stotfold in the driving seat and they held on for three points.
They were on the verge of extending their good form on Tuesday night until the weather intervened.
Stotfold raced into a two goal lead at home to Leverstock Green, Theo Swaine and Charlie Joy netting inside the first 10 minutes. However with half an hour gone the league match was abandoned due to high winds.
Attention now turns to the FA Vase on Saturday as Stotfold host fellow SSML Premier side AFC Dunstable in the Second Round. The visitors are currently second in the table with just two defeats all season so a tough game is expected.
