Biggleswade Town took a 4-1 beating at home to Cambridge City on Tuesday night.

The visitors were two goals up at the break through Andrew Phillips and Danny Kelly.

Olu Akinsanya struck a killer third 20 minutes from time before Chris Bacon added a fourth.

Josh Beech netted a late consolation for Biggleswade.

On Saturday Biggleswade returned with a well earned point from a 1-1 draw at Hungerford Town. Lee Allinson put the Waders ahead on 10 minutes, Scott Rees replied for the home side 15 minutes later.

Biggleswade are fourth from bottom in the Southern League Premier with just five games to play. They host Cirencester on Saturday before another home game on Monday against neighbours Arlesey Town - just four points behind.
