Biggleswade Town’s good start to the season has stalled after they fell to a second successive defeat on Saturday.
The 2-0 loss at Hungerford Town in the Southern League Premier Division followed a defeat at Dunstable Town after they had begun with two wins and a draw.
Ryan Frater, dominant at the back, had two opportunities from corners but the other guys could not really muster a worthwhile effort between them.
The route one game played down the slope at Hungerford does not work as the ball mostly runs out of play.
Uphill against the home side, who are very experienced with the slope, has the reverse effect.
Hungerford only just had their heads in front. A goal in each half both from corners, from Jarvis and Rusby, summed up a frustrating afternoon for the team and supporters alike.
On Saturday Leamington are the visitors, while on Bank Holiday Monday the Waders make the short trip to St Neots.
