Caldecote Young Boys were denied a place in the Bedford Sunday League Harrison & Rowley Cup final after penalty shoot-out heartache at the weekend.
A 2-0 victory over Shefford Pirates had set up Sunday’s semi-final clash against Supreme Spartans at Harvey Close.
At full time the sides were locked at 2-2, with Jack Boyd and Jake Wallace on the mark for the home side.
The tie went to spot kicks – and Spartans triumphed 6-5 to set up a final against Queensmen at Kempston Rovers FC on April 29.
