Bushido Judo Club Henlow celebrated its first birthday with some impressive knowledge and demonstration of judo at the club grading, plus some fine results at the Chalfont Open Championships.
Bushido entered nine members for the Chalfont tournament, with six members fighting in competition for the first time.
All judoka showed great skill with a wide range of techniques to bring home the club’s biggest medal haul to date.
There was a gold for Jay Crowley, while Ashley Healey claimed silver, with bronze medals going to Hugo Burton, Harrison Gearing, Shay Corfield, Louis Fairey, Oliver Martin, Vladimirs Gaidukovs and Tamara Aniscenko.
The club hold their training sessions at Mount Pleasant Golf Club in Lower Stondon, with primary/juniors from 6.30pm-7.30pm and seniors from 7.30pm-8.30pm with a cost of £5 per session.
