Shefford racing driver Lincoln Starkey returned to the race track for the first time in three years to land podium finishes at the Champion of Brands Formula Ford race.
Driving an Enigma Motorsport prepared Mygale Formula Ford at the Brands Hatch circuit, Lincoln qualified for race one in third position during a session held in tricky wet conditions.
The weather hadn’t improved for the start of race 1, but Lincoln got a good start and despite pressure from Luke Rosewell and Jason Cooper, and the pack closing up during a late safety car period, Lincoln held on for a third place and podium position.
Race 2 saw Lincoln get another good start and tried to challenge for second place on the opening lap.
He spent most of the race chasing second place driver Ashley Debden, and after another safety car period, on the last lap, Starkey challenged Dibden for position. The two cars touched, but Lincoln had sufficient momentum to keep the position until the chequered flag, taking second position and his second podium of the weekend.
