New Inn backs Biggleswade development side

Landlady Corri wanted to support the team as the New Inn prepares exciting new plans following refurbishment this month.

“I am privileged to be the new Development team skipper, if we can carry on from where we were last year. I believe everyone in the squad and in the club who would give their all for the club shirt. I hope this time next year we have given our all, fought valiantly and if we can do that, my first season as skipper would be a success.’ Said Loan who also thanked established club sponsors ADI and The Health and Safety People

Coach Peter Bean will lead the team into the tough Herts & Middlesex Merit 4 table where they meet some of the stronger London sides.

Biggleswade First XV start summer training on Thursday evening on the clubs Sheepwalk pitches at 7pm with a number of new players invited ahead of the new season.

>> Biggleswade Under 14s and Under 15s resume summer fitness training on Wednesday evenings on the club’s Sheepwalk pitches.

Both sides are looking to recruit players, in the case of the under 15s to enable a second team to compete in some league games. Full training starts in September for all of the mini and youth sides.
