End of an era for Stratton Park Estate

Twenty five years ago, the last remains of the original Stratton Park Estate in Biggleswade were pulled down by developers when the stable buildings were demolished. The stables had been the only surviving part of the original estate. The mansion house, which was used during World War Two as an army base, had been knocked down in 1960.
