Three generations of people and transport

We have a small follow up to our Moggerhanger Memories two-part feature which was published on November 2 and 9, 2012.

The photograph on the right shows Keith Lawrence as a boy with his grandfather Arthur, who worked on the Titanic, and his father Geoffrey who worked on the R101 airship.

Keith himself worked on Concorde, making this picture a unique record of three generations of Lawrences who helped build some of the world’s most progressive and famous transport.

Keith also wanted to correct a couple of errors which crept in to the feature.

His mother was the daughter of Ebenezer Little of Blunham (not Barford), and the family moved from 1 Dynes Lane to 29 Sandy Road (and not to 25 Dynes Lane as reported.

Apologies to Keith.
