Chris Rix reached a batting milestone for Ickwell on Saturday although his seconds side slipped to defeat.
With Ickwell’s Hunts League Division One clash against Southill Park rained off attention turned to the seconds’ Division Four fixture at Bretton.
The hosts made 186-3 with nearly all the runs coming from Shakil Hussain (55) and Mark Buckingham (99 not out) who unluckily missed out on his century.
In their reply Ickwell II were dismissed for 161 with Steven Proudman (38) and Rix (25) being the highest scorers.
During his innings Rix got the runs needed to join the few who have made 10,000 runs or more for the club. David Lambert (5-24) did most of the damage for Bretton as he took out the Ickwell middle order.
