This Sunday marks the 32nd running of the popular Sandy 10 mile road race.
The 600 entry limit was reached in early March. Runners hail from all over the country with entrants from Sunderland, Worcestershire, Shropshire and Sheffield, and with over 80 entrants from the SG18 and SG19 postcode areas .
The 10 mile race starts at 10.30 am off Sunderland Road and the route runs out through Everton and Everton Heath and back, so motorists are advised to avoid these roads between 10.30am and 12.30pm. Places are still available in the 3k Fun Run which starts at 10.45am at the Sandy Sports Centre, providing the 70 runner limit has not been reached.
Results will be available on the Biggleswade AC website (www.biggleswadeac.org.uk) on Sunday evening and in next week’s Chronicle.
