Langford cricketer Pete Edwins is heading to Lord’s - all in aid of the village club.

Langford’s Saturday XI captain is undertaking an incredible 42 mile fundraising walk to fund a boundary rope and associated winding mechanism plus other equipment for the club

On Saturday, July 4, he will be walking from Langford to Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, setting off at 2am and aiming to complete the walk by 8pm that evening.

A number of donations have been received but further donations are required to reach the required financial target.

Pete has undertaken a similar venture a few years ago when he walked from Langford to the London Eye by the River Thames, raising £500 for Children in Need!

His route will be via Hitchin, Caldecote, Old Welwyn, Potters Bar, Barnet, Finchley, Hendon, Swiss Cottage and on to the Lord’s Cricket Ground at St John’s Wood.
