Biggleswade Rugby Club host the finals of the Herts & Middlesex Cup on Saturday starting at 1pm.

This is the first time that the finals have been held outside Herts or Middlesex with Biggleswade chosen for the number of pitches and facilities they have. The club expects 1,000 spectators, officials and players.

Biggleswade Third XV play Hitchin 3s in the cup finals at Hertford RFC following their impressive 26-7 win against Belsize Park 4s a fortnight ago. Belsize Park went through the season unbeaten and must have presumed an easy ride at Biggleswade but captain Dave Tyson and the team turned in a huge performance to reach the Cup final.

Rugby Football Union proposals to introduce changes in the 2015/16 season looks to have been pushed to 2017/18 following further consultation with clubs. This follows a rebellion among the northern clubs, upset at the reduced number of games per season that had been proposed.
