Children’s book gets a musical stage adaptation

The Gruffalo
The Gruffalo

A musical adaptation of the award winning picture book The Gruffalo is coming to Cambridge Arts Theatre next week.

The show follows on from the successful touring productions of The Gruffalo’s Child and Room on the Broom, and runs from Tuesday November 10 to Sunday November 15.

Join Mouse on a daring adventure through the deep dark wood in search of hazelnuts and meet the cunning Fox, the eccentric old Owl and the party mad Snake on the way.

Will the story of the fabled Gruffalo save Mouse from ending up as dinner for these wily woodland creatures?

Armed with only a nut map and a little courage, Mouse must outwit them all.

After all, there’s no such thing as a Gruffalo - is there?

The Gruffalo has been performed to well over a million people worldwide and has even hit the small screens in a star-studded TV animation.

It aims to be the perfect family treat with plenty of songs, laughs and scary fun for children aged three and above with their grown ups.

The show is performed at 1.30pm on Tuesday and then at 10.30am and 1.30pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It can be seen at 10.03am and 12.30pm on the final day.

The show lasts 55 minutes and there will be no interval.

All tickets for the show cost £12.50, excluding booking fees.
