Fiona sings at charity concert in Biggleswade

A singer from Bedfordshire will be performing in her home county for a specialfundraising concert taking place later this month.

Fiona Harrison, a vintage singer, will perform at the Weatherley Centre in Biggleswade on Saturday April 28,

The singer, based in Leighton Buzzard, will be performing a wide range of music from both the 1950s and 1960s at the Stratton Road venue.

The concert has been organised by te Rotary Club of Biggleswade.

The entertainer and costume artist extraordinare has been described as having a voice in a million.

She sppecialises in music from the 1880s right through to the 1970s and has covered the likes of from Marie Lloyd to ABBA and styles ranging from opera, big band and Swing.

Fiona will also perforn songs from Hollywood musicals and even rock and roll.

All of the songs will be performed in authentic uniforms and glamorous costumes of the period.

The entertainment starts at 7.30pm.

They are likely to be hugely in demand and organisers have advised people to book tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

Profits from the event will go towards Rotary’s support for local causes.
