There have been 1,869,666 lab-confirmed cases across the UK, up by a daily rise of 20,263.
64,402 deaths within 28 days of a positive test have been recorded, up by 232 today.
Luton entered tier two (high alert) restrictions along with the rest of Bedfordshire once lockdown ended on Wednesday, December 2.
