Great North Stung for two sisters

Sisters raised more than £700 for charity by running the Great North Run.

Anna Hardy, 17, and her 20-year-old sister, Sarah Hardy, ran the race dressed as bees.

The pair, who live in Shefford, completed the 13.1 mile challenge in two hours and 40 minutes. Their money went to Parkinson’s UK.

And it was quite a family affair; the sisters ran alongside their Leeds based parents Liz and Joe Hardy.

They were part of a team of 227 other runners who between them hope to raise £90,000 to research finding a cure for the disease and helping those affected.
