Players at Sharnbrook have worked with Garden Lodges, based at Sandy Business Park, to create a new facility which not only benefits the club but the whole community.

The company won the tender for the project in April.

The 4mx22.3m building will cater for up to 80 people and include tilt-and-turn windows to get the best view from inside. It also features a long interior space for games of carpet bowls.

The fully-accessible construction will meet the latest standards for energy performance and sustainability.

Club chairman John Woplin said the project has been four-and-a-half years in the making, from fundraising to getting all the plans in place. The groundwork has been completed and construction is expected to be completed towards the end of August.
