Sainsbury’s recalling own brand kebabs over ‘potential health risk’

The Food Standards Agency have an alert out that Sainsbury’s is recalling its ‘by Sainsbury’s British Lamb Shish Kebabs’ because of a packaging error.

The mistake means some packs actually contain beef kebabs instead of lamb and as a result, soya and wheat are not mentioned on the packaging.

This means the product is a possible health risk for those with an allergy or intolerance to wheat and/or an allergy to soya.

Product details: by Sainsbury’s British Lamb Shish Kebabs.

Pack size: 360g with a ‘Use by’ date: 4 July 2015.

Advice issued by the supermarket giant is as follows: “If you have bought the above product and have with an allergy or intolerance to wheat and/or an allergy to soya, do not eat it.

“Instead, return the product to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”
