Be prepared to rumble in the jumble as Stotfold Scouts host a major fundraiser.
The scout group are holding their grand jumble sale at the hut in Baldock Road on Saturday, April 1, at 2pm.
John McBurney, group scout chairman and fundraiser, said: “We are really excited as we want to beat the amount we raised last year of £755.
“It will be a tough task but we are very optimistic. We have been collecting jumble for the last four months and have accumulated quite a stock pile.” Donations of jumble are welcome.
The sale fundraising got off to a flying start with a £100 cash donation from Satchells Estate Agent in Stotfold.
Kevin Duff, the manager of the branch, presented £100 to Sarah Passey, cub scout leader, and her two children, Christian a scout and Natalie, a cub scout, who said the support is much appreciated.
The jumble sale will see young people from the two scout packs taking part. They will be selling items that they have made as part of their ‘Apprentice Challenge’ and the most successful ‘apprentice’ on the day wins.
Donations of jumble can be dropped off at the scout hut on the morning of the event.
Admission is 50p.
