Bilcock stars with bat and ball in Henlow win

All-rounder Wayne Bilcock was the undoubted star as Henlow were comfortable winners at leaders Kempston Methodists in the Beds Invitation League Division Two.

Bilcock was left unbeaten on 98 as Henlow made 175-7 in an innings reduced to 36 overs, the next highest score being just 13 (although extras significantly helped their cause with 41).

Then with the hosts chasing a reduced target of 127 in 26 overs following a rain delay, Bilcock took 3-9 in four overs as they fell well short on 75 all out in 22 overs.

Unbeaten Lutonians II were always going to be a tough challenge for Biggleswade II in Division Three and so it provied.

Lutonians batted first and the innings saw an unfortunate injury to Adam Giddings as his knee gave way during his bowling delivery. An ambulance was called and Adam was taken to hospital.

All at the club send Adam best wishes for a full recovery.

Lutonians made 160 from their reduced innings of 29 overs. In reply Biggleswade made 99-5 with a top score of 29 from Ben Bond.
