Former Biggleswade United attacker Akwafei Ajeakwa has signed for United Soccer League side Orange County Blues FC.

The popular 23-year-old who spent time at Second Meadow earlier this term where he impressed greatly, made a promising debut in the USL Western Conference Regular Season opening fixture against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2.

Ajeakwa came off the bench early in the first period of the 1-0 defeat, replacing the injured Gevorg Karapetyan.

It was the ex-United man who created the best chance of the half too, racing in behind the Whitecaps back line and chipping the keeper only to see his attempt headed over by Blues forward Joe Baccielo.

However, Kyle Greig’s 58th minute header sealed the win for Vancouver, although Ajeakwa was named MOM for his excellent performance.
