Potton fight back to sink the Wanderers

Potton United staged a remarkable comeback to earn the points in a 4-2 win at Burton Park Wanderers.

They survived two penalty appeals in the first half and went 2-0 down, before scoring four goals in the last 15 minutes to snatch the win.

Burton went ahead in the 41st minute when Alfie Taylor worked the ball onto the edge of the penalty area and his shot went just inside the post.

And Taylor added second in the 65th minute when he broke clear and slotted home.

Potton looked destined for defeat with 15 minutes left, but Jamie Fitzgibbon fired into the roof of the net to put them back in the game.

In the 82nd minute, Nick Finney prodded into the net to equalize, before a shot from Callum Forster rebounded off Fitzgibbon and into the net to give the visitors the lead.

The comeback was sealed in stoppage time when a free-kick from Sam Sabey was headed into his own goal by a Burton defender.
