Mary brings her American sound to Baldock club

A musician is bring some haunting vocals and intricate story songs to Baldock.

Mean Mary can be seen on Wednesday May 18 and the Florida born, Nashville resident is touring the UK to promote an album which was released in April.

She travels the genres with her music taking in things such as folk-rock, bluegrass, and blues with banjo, fiddle, and guitar. Anything from ghost pirates to demon guitars could romp through a Mean Mary show.

She began life as a musical prodigy and could read music before she could read words and co-wrote songs at age five.

By age seven she was proficient on the guitar, banjo and violin, and entertained audiences across the US with her vocal and instrumental skills. Her life has been one long road show interspersed with TV, radio, and film.

To date she plays 11 instruments and is known for her alluring story songs, incredible instrumental speed, and rich voice that can travel from deep emotion to sparkling trills.

She is also an award-winning book author, and the fun loving star of Nashville TV show, Never-Ending Street.

Her tour is taking her to London, Edinbrugh to a number of venues in southern England.

Mean Mary’s Sweet Tour takes her to Baldock and Letchworth Blues, Folk and Roots Club on starting at 8pm.

Tickets for the show are £10 and £8 for members of the club. All ages are welcome to the gig.
