Barbershop’s Great British performers

FOR a great night out try listening to one of the leading barbershop quartets.

The Great British Barbershop Boys will be taking to the stage at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage on Monday (July 4).

The singers were originally part of the National Barbershop Youth Chorus but decided to branch out into singing as a quartet.

They rocketed to success, becoming the British Quartet Champions just nine months after forming. By 2008 they were also named the British Collegiate Quartet.

They were spotted by Sony Music while representing the UK at the International Barbershop Convention and subsequently signed a £1million record deal.

Yet through this all they have retained their day jobs.

As you can see the quartet is well worth hearing and should attract an audience of all ages.

The performance begins at 7.45pm.

Tickets cost £18 and are available from the box office on 01438 363200 or you can book online at www.gordon-craig.co.uk
