Beatroot you can’t beat!

Musical genres of all kinds will be heard when a popular duo perform at one Chronicle Country pub on Friday (May 3).

Beatroot pay homage to the likes of Bon Jovi, Snow Patrol, Van Morrison, Chuck Berry, Bryan Adams, The Eagles and all that has been good musically since the early 1960s.

You can see them at The Wheatsheaf in Gamlingay.

New wave and punk sounds from 1977 to 1982 will be on the agenda at the Rose pub in Biggleswade on Saturday, May 4, meanwhile.

The Synthetix recreate this era in their sets, focussing especially on favourites from acts like the Buzzcocks, the Clash, the Stranglers and the Undertones.

Those who would like to enjoy some soul, funk and disco can do so at the Ivy Leaf Club in Langford on Saturday.

Chronicle Country regulars Huggy Flares will be performing at the venue.

The 2 Tones Ska Band will be bringing some music from said genres to Potton & District Club on Saturday, while Disco Inferno Late Bar will play there on Sunday (May 5).

Square Peg will be playing at The Crown in Stotfold on the same night. Staying in Stotfold, The Unbreakables are due to perform rock covers at the Coach and Horses pub on Sunday.
