Four actors step up and play 139 roles

See one of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic works at the theatre.

The 39 Steps is showing at Cambridge Arts Theatre this month.

Follow the handsome hero, Richard Hannay, as he solves The 39 Steps to acquit himself of murder and save king and country.

Complete with stiff upper lip, good old British gung-ho and devastatingly beautiful women, four fearless actors play 139 roles in 100 minutes of fast-paced fun.

The play is based on the 1912 book by John Buchan and the 1935 Alfred Hitchcock film. It has won numerous awards.

Catch The 39 Steps at Cambridge Arts Theatre from Saturday, 19 January to Saturday, January 26.

On the first day performances are at 2pm and 8pm. On the remaining days you can see it at 7.45pm each evening plus there will be 2.30pm matinees on the Thursday and Saturday.

Tickets cost from £15 to £30 plus a £2.50 booking fee. They are available from the box office on 01223 503333.
